@3 AZ SUPPLEMENT DISKS@4
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The idea behind these supplement disks is to allow us enough room to give you
the programs we talk about in the mag. A good example is the JD extension,
it is over 270k in size and that's archived. If we had put that on Amoszine
you wouldn't of got much in the way of articles and source. We didn't want
to force you to pay extra for a second disk that not everyone would want,
but this way the choice is yours.
@1
QUALITY AND QUANTITY
@4 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
As you would expect from Amoszine, everything is crunched as much as
possible giving you good value and something to tinker with in the long
weeks between AZ issues. Another use of the Supplement disks is to allow
readers space for their product demos (or full versions) so if you want to
see your program on a future AZ Supp disk then send it to me now.
If your demo is more than 350k archived with lha then we may not be able to
use it, sorry. But I will put it in the F1 PD library for you.
@3
ALL AZ SUPPLEMENT DISKS COSTS JUST £1.50 EACH (POST+PACK FREE) FROM THE
USUAL F1 ADDRESS. Go on, YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!@3

@1
EASY LIFE EXTENSION:

@1
LOTTERY PREDICTOR:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@4
Brilliant util to win you a fortune.
@1
MAL'S GFX PART 1
MAL'S GFX PART 2
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@4
Lot's of really good copyright free graphics to use in your programs
from Mal Lavery.@5
AMOSZINE SUPPLEMENT DISK #4
===========================@4
OBSTICKLE
^^^^^^^^^@1
This arcade platformer is still in development. Mal Lavery, the
author has given AZ an exclusive 8 level preview. The graphics are
brilliant and the game play hard. See what you think!
@4
ORGASM EXTENSION DEMO
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Sent to AZ direct by the author of the Liberator extension this is
another great intuition jobbie. Includes docs and examples. Copy the
lib to your system disk to see some stunning examples of what it can do.
@4
THE TERMINATOR DEMO
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
An amusing and well coded little demo written by Andrew Campbell.
Select a switch to execute the prisoners in different ways!
Source code included.
@4
GRAPHICS

A selection of game graphics from Mal Lavery and Andrew Campbell that
you can freely use in your own programs. Remember to credit the author.
@4
19 EASY AMOS PROGRAMS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Since Amiga Computing has released Easy Amos as it's December cover
disk I thought a few routines for these new users may be helpful.
@4
25 C-TEXT FONTS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Pretty darn well self-explanatory really. You will need the C-Text
program to use these. Sourced from the Amos PD library.
@4
48 SPRITE BANKS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Sourced from the Amos PD library. Best be cautious if you are going
to use these sprites in anything other than writing PD programs.
@4
POWER PACKER V2.3b
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
OK, so I should have put this stonkingly brilliant file cruncher on
a AZ supp disk before, especially as we don't use Power Packer any more!
But don't complain, if this isn't in your pd utils collection you are
a zero, a nobody. a dumbkoff etc. Full docs supplied with the program.

AMOSZINE SUPPLEMENT DISK #3 99% FULL
=====================================
@3
F1 SOURCE ISSUE 0
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Basically (No pun intended) F1 source disks are --err disks
of source code from F1 Licenceware. The difference here is all F1
Source disks are 99% full of pure source code, no libs/devs/c/ command
etc. Also most of the source was (at time of compilation) previously
unseen. The whole 800k+ archived down to just over 300k. Have fun with
this great collection of source. Issues 1,2,3 and 4 are available for
a special £1.50 to AZ readers from the address below.(Archived with LHA)
@3
IMAGE COMPRESSOR
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Reviewed in AZ #3 by yours truly, and got a whopping 95%, it deserves
it as well! Written by AZ utils editor, Andrew Smith this is the first
PD release version of IC. It's a cool looking, useful and easy to use
util for crunching/uncruching and viewing picture files. I won't go
into depth explaining what it does here as the docs provided with IC do
that. The original doc is in AmigaGuide format but to save a lot of
disk space I have just crunched it as an ASCII file, hope you don't mind
Andrew? (Crunched with Power Packer)
@3
AMOS TOOLS
^^^^^^^^^^@1
Recently I needed to convert a Bob bank to an Icon bank quickly, I knew
I had a util to do it in my collection somewhere so I started looking.
Two hours later I found it. Whilst searching through my Hard drive and
assorted floopies I noticed quite a few "tools" and decided to keep
them all in one place. The upshot is the collection you will find in
this archive. There are 30 wicked programs in the archive, in source
form, so I won't list them all, but here are a few to make you drool:
MAKEZONE,ANIMATOR V3, REM MAKER, FLOWCHART CREATOR, LEVEL EDITOR,
MAP DEFINER, BOB TO IFF, SPRITEMAKER, HOTSPOT50, ICON UTIL, SINE WAVE
CREATOR etc. etc. (Archived with LHA)
@3
AMOS/WB FONTS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Not many people bother to use the workbench fonts in Amos, mainly due
to a few bugs in Amos (Ie. reading in the wrong font on different
machines) but some WB fonts look really good and don't use much disk
space or memory. I have included 20 of my favourite fonts on this
disk. De-archive the file FONTS.lha and copy the fonts to your boot
copy of amos or your boot partition on your HD. You can also use these
fonts in Dpaint and similar, great for creating logos and title
screens. (Archived with LHA)
@3
MALCOLM LAVERY GRAPHICS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Nine screens are in this archive, you have malcolm's permission to use
these graphics in your own productions as long as you credit him.
Better still, send him a copy of your completed game.(Archived with LHA)
@3
ABK MUSIC MODS
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Not much to tell really, there are eight modules on the disk all
taken from Amos PD disks. Load an ABK mod into a memory bank and
use the MUSIC command to play it. See your Amos manual for more
details if you are not sure. (Archived with LHA)

AMOSZINE SUPPLEMENT DISK #2
===========================@3
THE BIG GAME: (AZ EXCLUSIVE)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
This is a bit of a coup for AZ. This is the complete source to
The Assasins fruit machine game donated by Stuart to AZ readers.
This source is currently on sale for £3. Great stuff, thanks Stuart!
As promised, you always get your monies worth with AZ! (LHA archived)
@3
STARS EXTENSION:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
We gave you this on AZ issue 0, which not many people have seen. I have
repeated it here partly because it's a great extension and secondly
because it's so small it filled the disk up nicely. Stars gives you
interrupt driven starfields, VERY easy to use. For any Amos.
@3
FORTRESS 1 PREVIEW:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Surely this game needs no introduction to any AZ reader? It's a
conkingly good war strategy game written by our very own Co-Ed Lee
Bamber. It's on here in to supplement the many references made to it
in past (and future AZ's) Instructions included in game. (LHA archived)
@3
HIGH OCTANE ASCII LISTING:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
There wasn't enough room on here for all the banks and maps, so here is
the total source listing in ASCII of the mega hit High Octane, it is
fairly well documented and serves as a nice example of using a few of
the turbo 1.9 extension commands (Turbo was on Supp disk #1)
(Crunched with Power Packer, depack with PP or Filemaster) If you have
the complete game you can use the banks etc from that and you will then
have the complete source to High Octane Turbo.
@3
SUPER SOUND 3:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ @1
This is an early version of the now CLR Licenceware (Spit!)
sample editor, even this version has more features than many commercial
equivalents. Put simply it's a fantastic util and it's written in good
old Amos. It has a few bugs, but they are barable when it's for free.
SuperSound was highly recommended in AZ#3 by Mike Richmond in his
article. Doc supplied. (Power Packer crunched ,double click to run)@3
PARTICLE MAN, ASCII LISTING (AZ EXCLUSIVE)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Donated to AZ by ace coder Paul Nordovics, this was his first game and
it's a corker. The full game appeared on Assasins disk # 105 so if
you want the whole source get the banks from there.
(Crunched with Power Packer, decrunch with PP or Filemaster)
@3
IFF SOUND FX SAMPLES
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
Instead of topping the last few K of this disk with source code I
thought a few good IFF samples, donated by Mike Richmond would be a
nice idea. Anyway you can load them into SuperSound to try it out,
fits in quiet nicely, huh! (ARCHIVED WITH LHA)
@4
CONTENTS OF SUPPLEMENT DISK #1
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@3
GUIARC:
^^^^^^@1
IF YOU DON'T HAVE THIS BRILLIANT UTIL IN YOUR
COLLECTION THEN DE-ARCHIVING IS GOING TO BE A
NIGHTMARE. THIS UTIL CAN HAVE YOU ARCING AND DE-ARCING
IN A MATTER OF SECONDS, BELIEVE ME IT REALLY IS VERY
EASY TO USE. YOU WILL NEED THIS UTIL TO DECOMPRESS
STUFF ON PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE AMOSZINE MAGS AND
ESPECIALLY SUPPLEMENT DISKS. FULL DOCS ARE INCLUDED.
@3
JD EXTENSION:
^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
A BRILLIANT EXT APPARENTLY, THAT HAS LOADS OF NEW
COMMANDS, FOR PRO USERS ONLY. THERE'S ONLY ONE
DRAWBACK; THE DOCS ARE IN GERMAN. SO INSTALL IT ON A
COPY OF PRO FIRST. (LHA ARCHIVED)
@3
TURBO V1.9 EXT:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
ANOTHER EXTENSION TOO BIG FOR THE MAG. THIS IS A
VERY HIGHLY REGARDED EXTENSION, SEE THE HIGH OCTANE
TURBO REVIEW IN ISSUE 2 FOR AN IDEA OF THE INCREDIBLE
SPEED YOU CAN GAIN USING THIS BEAST.
(LHA ARCHIVED)
@3
EDWORD PRO:
^^^^^^^^^^ @1
THIS IS THE PD DEMO VERSION BUT ALL THE FEATURES ARE
THERE, YOU JUST GET AN ANNOYING REQUESTER UP EVERY
FEW MINUTES. IT BUGGED ME SO MUCH THAT I REGISTERED
WITH THE AUTHOR, IT'S THE SMARTEST £10 I HAVE EVER
SPENT ON SOFTWARE. (SEE REVIEW IN ISSUE 1) ALL MY
ARTICLES IN AZ HAVE BEEN WRITTEN USING ED (AS THIS IS)
AND I URGE AZ CONTRIBUTORS TO USE EDWORD WHEN SENDING
IN ARTICLES. SOME PEOPLE ARTICLES ARE NOT PURE ASCII
AND IT CAUSES ME A LOT OF PROBLEMS. NOW THERE IS NO
EXCUSE. COS YOU HAVE IT. (LHA ARCHIVED)
@3
DRUMSTICKS:
^^^^^^^^^^^@1
THIS IS A DRUM MACHINE (WRITTEN IN AMOS OF COURSE) THAT
WAS SENT TO AMOSZINE BY OUR PROOF READER, STEVE
PULLINGER. IT'S A NEAT LITTLE TOY THAT I LIKED, BUT I
JUST COULDN'T FIND THE SPACE ON AZ, SO HERE IT IS.
(LHA ARCHIVED)
@3
FILEMASTER:
^^^^^^^^^^@1
OK, THIS WAS ON ISSUE 1, BUT SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAID
TO ME WHAT A GREAT UTIL IT WAS THAT I THOUGHT IT
DESERVED ANOTHER SHOWING. ALSO IT IS VERY USEFUL TO
DECRUNCH THE POWERPACKED SOURCE CODE ON AZ DISKS.
SEE AZ FOR MORE INFO ON HOW TO DO THIS. THERE ARE NO
DOCS THAT I CAN FIND FOR FILEMASTER. TRY PRESSING THE
SPACEBAR TO TOGGLE MENUS. ONE OF MY ALL TIME
FAVOURITES OF ALL TIME MATES! (POWER PACKED,JUST DOUBLE CLICK TO RUN IT)
@3
RELICS SAVED GAMES POSITIONS:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
TO COMPLEMENT OUR ARTICLES IN ISSUES 2 AND 3
THESE FILES WILL SAVE YOU PLAYING THE FIRST TWO PARTS
OF THE F1 BLOCKBUSTER, RELICS OF DELDRONEYE.
@3
EXTRA SOURCE:
^^^^^^^^^^^^^@1
I HAD A LITTLE BIT OF SPACE LEFT SO I FILLED IT WITH SOME ROUTINES.
@4
ALL AZ SUPPLEMENT DISKS COSTS JUST £1.50 EACH (POST+PACK FREE) FROM THE
USUAL F1 ADDRESS. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!
@3
I hope you find this lot useful. I haven't just chucked anything on these
disks. Most or all of it is relevant to Amoszine. If you de-archived all the
files on a Supp disk it would fill nearly three disks, so I feel you are
getting value for money. If you don't think so let me know how I can improve
these supplement disks, cos you got me stumped!.
I have enjoyed compiling these disks and hope to do many more, that's if you
lot want them, let me know. Steve Bye
